Pollinator Habitat and Vegetative Screening

Providing pollinator habitat within the project area and maintaining the visual appeal of the site

A pollinator habitat will be created within the footprint of our project. Pollinator habitats are planted with native wildflowers and grasses that attract pollinator species such as bees, butterflies, and birds. Pollinator habitats can improve soil health as native plant species are often deep-rooted, which reduces erosion and improves soil structure. Pollinators attracted to the area will also help pollinate nearby farms, which can increase crop yield and quality.

Our vegetative screening will incorporate trees and shrubs to soften the appearance of the solar farm to neighbors and community members who frequent the roads alongside the project. Just over 2 miles of vegetative buffers are incorporated into the project site design.
